Those may look like two regular balloons attached to some red yarn, but if you look closely enough, you might see that those are Addie's new pets! She has been pulling them around the house for a few days now calling them her "kittens". Yesterday she finally named them; the red one is "Sally", and the orange one is "Lucifer" (named after the cat on Cinderella . . . I hope). She puts them to bed on a blanket and sits on her bed and pets them. It's a good thing she has a vivid imagination because those balloons are the closest thing to a cat we will probably ever have around here.

Too cute. Grace LOVES kitties and we've almost caved in a few times to get her one, but just can't quite do it. I wouldn't mind getting some balloons though...

Here kitty, kitty. What a great idea to use balloons for kittens. They are so much easier to clean up after being run over in the garage. And look at the savings you'll have just in kitty litter alone. Tell Addie that "Sally" looks much sweeter and softer than "Lucifer".
OH, she is so cute!! I love the kitty thing. I think maybe she's spent just a little too much time with Anna, though. What are you going to do when the air goes out?
I'm sorry to say that Lucifer met his demise via a staple remover (Owen not me). We could use some Addie's imagination over here please.
Funny stuff! I can relate just a little because when I was a kid I used to pretend my balloons were real live friends of mine. People though, not kitties. The deflation of my 'friends' was truly sad.
We miss that little Addie. She sure is creative!
