Good day

We planted some of these

Made a bunch of these

Then we heard that Uncle Jeremy landed a new job in the great state of Washington, so we decided to go out and celebrate.

Not bad for a Monday.

Chopped

Megan's new hairdo - short and sassy, just like our Megan.

Happy Easter

Yes, coordinating dresses again. I just can't help myself.

Lucky Olivia will get to wear all three.

One of the many Easter egg hunts that day. Our favorite was at the Carpenter's that night, but of course, I forgot my camera.

Needless to say, we have enough candy to last us until Halloween.

Happy Spring

Yes, it really is that hot.

Ouch

The Girls were being pulled by the neighbor boy in the back yard when Megan got dumped out of the wagon and landed in the stone fire pit. Rough night.
Aric's new callsign for her - Headwound Harriet. She's not very fond of it.

Feeling Spoiled

Since both set of grandparents came to visit within a months time. We had time for . . .

alligator hunts

quiet walks in the meadow at sunset . . . or midday . . . or whenever Megan wanted,

Soccer

A Trip to the Aquarium

more aquarium

and more aquarium

Grandpa explains the mating rituals of the rare and delicate Eastern Atlantic Tuna
(The Eastern Atlantic Tuna: Not rare, not delicate, not mating, and not even really its name)
and of course, Red Robbin (aka Robin Hoods if you're Addie).
Now we're going through withdrawls. Spring break in NC anyone???

Snake Away

This little guy camped out in our garage all winter . . . right next to the container of "Snake Away" ( a product I don't plan on buying again).

Guess who came for a visit?

Grandpa and Grandma came a few weeks ago. Grandma stayed busy entertaining the girls (mostly Addie who was incredibly excited the whole time they were here)

Megan was pretty sick

Olivia getting a beading lesson from Grandma

Grandpa (aka the computer whisperer) fixing our computer. Many thanks!

Snow . . . lots and lots of snow

Nothing quite like waking up to this! This is pretty rare around here, so we're documenting it with plenty of pictures.

We hit the powder pretty early (as you can tell from the snazzy hairdos)

We weren't as prepared as I had hoped, so we made some boots out of shopping bags. Don't worry - we stayed in the backyard.

Putting the final touches on the snowman

taking it in

Happy Addie.

Feeling Ambitious

Handy

Not so handy

And now it's finally done (despite all the help)

I know . . .

It's about time I posted something.
And yes, I am posting Christmas pictures in February.
Christmas Eve stories, featuring
Mary, Mary,

and Mary.

Olivia sampling Santa's cookies. I think they were good.

Christmas morning - happy chaos.

Bye Bye Terrible Twos

Megan is 3!
Does she look any older?
Memorable birthday moments:
refusing to open her presents after begging to open them all day.
getting a Christmas tree
almost burning down the cake - oops

Happy Birthday Megan!

Thanksgiving

We celebrated with our friends, the Mordocks, from the other side of the state. Good food, perfect weather, and PLENTY of football all made for a great day.
It's especially nice since they make some killer mashed potatoes.

Addie and Jake became fast friends.

Megan and Audrey were friends . . .

most of the time.

On Friday they had time for a quick (and frigid) trip to the beach before they left.

We love our Thanksgiving tradition - can't wait until next year!
