Easter

The community Easter egg hunt, with another special guest!  This time little miss Avery flew down with Esther to spend spring break with us.

And it was so fun to have them!

Even despite a bad stomach virus (that we were nice enough to share)

we still found time to party.

And aren't they pretty in their matching blue dresses!

What could be more fun than that!

Special Visit

 Look familiar?  We sure love the Mormon Battalion, and this time with Clay and Jenn and kids!

 The Beach wasn't bad either.  FREEZING cold that day, but still fun!

Christmas 2012

 Our first Christmas in San Diego was definitely one to remember

 Made extra fun with a visit from Grandpa and Grandma

 Once the Christmas festivities were over, we had a few days to enjoy San Diego

 First stop was the Mormon Battalion museum

 Addie was quite possible the hippest soldier ever!

 They loved panning for gold and making bricks

 But nothing could beat playing in the covered wagon, pretending to be all the characters on Little House on the Prairie.  They could have stayed there all day.

 We also had time for a quick trip to Coronado Island right before a storm moved in.

Rock Museum or Bust!

Aric told the kids we were going to a rock museum the first week of December.

He talked about it for weeks, building it up to be a great place to see rocks from all over the world.  

Addie was excited.  Megan was not.  Olivia was indifferent.  Luke was clueless.

Instead of a museum, we surprised them with a trip to Disneyland.

This time they were all excited.  

Megan was relieved.  

Looking at rocks for two days wasn't sounding like much fun to her :)

Favorite rides - probably It's a Small World and the spinning tea cups

Least favorite - probably the rocking ferris wheel and Space Mountain.  Olivia may be permanently traumatized from that one.

In all, our first trip there was super fun.

Can't wait to go back!

Thanksgiving in Flagstaff . . .

was crazy delicious!  But somehow I managed to get pictures of everything but the yummy meal!

We had lots of time for feeding the ducks, playing at the park,

shooting!

and oh so many holiday crafts!!
