Rock Museum or Bust!

Aric told the kids we were going to a rock museum the first week of December.
He talked about it for weeks, building it up to be a great place to see rocks from all over the world.
Addie was excited.  Megan was not.  Olivia was indifferent.  Luke was clueless.
Instead of a museum, we surprised them with a trip to Disneyland.
This time they were all excited.
Megan was relieved.
Looking at rocks for two days wasn't sounding like much fun to her :)

Favorite rides - probably It's a Small World and the spinning tea cups
Least favorite - probably the rocking ferris wheel and Space Mountain.  Olivia may be permanently traumatized from that one.

In all, our first trip there was super fun.

Can't wait to go back!

Happy 6th!

A pizza barbie for her birthday, "Made all her dreams come true".
Glad it was a happy one, Megan!
Happy 6th!

Thanksgiving in Flagstaff . . .

was crazy delicious!  But somehow I managed to get pictures of everything but the yummy meal!
We had lots of time for feeding the ducks, playing at the park,
shooting!
and oh so many holiday crafts!!

Back to School

1st Day of 3rd Grade.
New grade, new school, new friends, and she wasn't scared at all.
 Go Addie!
 Megan's 1st Day of Kindergarten!
Only a few tears, but she went!!
Yay Megan!
And this is why 4 year olds don't go to kindergarten.
One more year, Olivia.  One more year.

Summer in review

We packed up and moved from North Carolina in June.  We made it to Idaho in time to celebrate Addie's 8th birthday
 and Father's day
with some of our favorite Dads
and a very captive audience.
We stayed long enough to have plenty of time with cousins to play
 and perform
and even ride in the neighborhood 4th of July parade.
We couldn't leave before having an early birthday celebration for Miss Olivia

and then headed down to Arizona, where we celebrated again!

It wouldn't be a trip to Flagstaff without a hike!
And this one was fun and beautiful.
Then on to the playground at the park,
 horse riding,

 and a cousin concert!
 Bravo!

After a summer of traveling, we finally moved to the San Diego area.  It's beautiful here and we love it!  Come and see us!!

Spring catch up

Adeline's 2nd grade program

Made even better with a trip to the ice cream shop afterwards
Megan's been working on her tan.  And she's done a nice job.  I think she might be part Cherokee . . .which will come in handy if she ever decides to run for the Senate.
Luke, however, has a way to go before getting rid of that farmer tan
We'll start by taking off the shirt next time he plays in the sprinkler

Go Phillies!

Addie's first softball season is winding down.  She's worked hard and improved a lot.  Go Addie!
